I took my Nissan LEAF to Nissan of Fort Collins for its 6 month checkup, and the experience genuinely made me regret buying the vehicle from this dealership. Based on this service visit alone, I would no longer recommend Nissan of Fort Collins to anyone. Before the appointment, I called to ask whether I should wait or drop the car off. I was told the service would take between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours. Instead, I was stuck at the service center for over 4.5 hours for a routine tire rotation and inspection. There were no issues with the vehicle and no complications. For context, a standard 6 month LEAF service typically includes: Tire rotation: 20 to 30 minutes Multi-point inspection and basic diagnostics: 15 to 20 minutes That puts the normal total service time at 45 to 60 minutes. Brought my vehicle in based on their recommendation of a potential transmission fluid leak. Made appt for 1:30pm. Got checked in, sat for nearly 3 hrs and was told their mechanic had no time to work on vehicle. I asked why I wasn’t made aware of this and they let me sit for 3 hrs without giving an update. All they said was sorry for the miscommunication. Made appointment again for the next day, this time arriving at 11:20am. Got checked in, same techs aware I was back. Sat in waiting room. 1:30pm no updates. Walked to service desk and same girl who checked me in day before said she go ask mechanic. Update on my Review: The service manager Ryan reached out to me and was more than willing to work with me on the issues I had faced. The fact that they did their due diligence and listened to the audio conversation between me and the service tech was really great. I appreciate the team helping me with the issues that my car was facing and also giving me recommendations. I am hoping this level of service , understanding the customer and helping clarify their questions continues. I can not speak highly enough of the service representatives in the service department. Everything is explained thoroughly, and the up-to-the-minute text updates are awesome. It's like to personally refer anyone to Darian for all your automotive needs, but all the reps are incredibly knowledgeable.
