Fox Hill Village

My wife and I have lived at Fox Hill Village for 2 years. The very first day we were invited to dinner by neighbors who thought we had worked long enough unpacking and thought we needed a break. During the following months, other residents invited us to join them for dinner. Dinner is a daily social event. We are now engaged in many social activities. We are excited that we purchased an apartment on the second floor. The library, arts and crafts center, and auditorium are all centrally located on the second floor, at the junction of the four residential wings. This is the cultural, intellectual, performing arts, and social hub of the community. It is the location of the holiday parties as well as frequent lectures and concerts. My mom has only been at Birch Grove for a month, but we are so happy that she is there! The touring process was warm and supportive, so we felt confident going in - very low stress despite the big change in lifestyle! And she is settling in well, with many kind caregivers, interesting residents and terrific programming. I love that she can take advantage of the whole Fox Hill facility - there is so much on offer. Knowing that she has interaction with others, good food 3x/day, and physical and intellectual stimulation is a gift for me. We know she's in good hands, and the onsite amenities make life much simpler, which is exactly what she needs. I know she will continue to expand her interests as she settles in further. Choosing to leave your home for independent living—and finding the right community—is difficult. We chose Fox Hill Village for its co‑op model, the flexibility to customize our unit, outstanding programs and activities, and a vibrant, welcoming community. After nearly a year as residents, everything we hoped for has proven true. The staff and residents are exceptionally friendly and supportive, making the transition easy. The sales team, especially Lisa Levine has been engaged with us from our first visit through move‑in to the present. With great people, engaging programs and activities, and beautiful grounds, Fox Hill Village has been the best move for us.

My husband and I have been living at Fox Hill Village for almost 3 years now. I love our home and the community to which we now feel connected. Our sales person, Lisa Levine, was wonderful, getting to know us and helping us understand this place we were considering. Making sure it was a good fit both ways. Everyone from staff to residents have gone out of their way to be helpful and their warmth has made adjusting to senior living a transition by far less stressful than we anticipated. The food is remarkably good, the lectures, concerts and trips keep us busy if you want to be such. If I had to choose one word to describe both staff and fellow residents it would be “kind.” One can add warm, welcoming, interesting, and more. I didn’t expect to laugh as deeply and often!

The winding drive into Fox Hill Village is welcoming and scenic. This appealed to us. Fox Hill did not feel like an institution. The sales office is a wealth of information. They explain the activities, speakers, classes. We had lived in the Westwood area. Even so, moving is one thing and getting settled takes more time. Employees and residents alike play an integral part in getting settled. We have been here 2 years and have never looked back. Ruth Spalding
