Solid no. We originally asked and reserved a small suv. Clearly from the photo we did not get one . They gave us this bright red charger. Not only that but the car looked like it’s been scratched by a lion or something it looked horrible . The inside wasn’t very clean. And we kept getting an airbag warning saying the airbag was not working correctly . We called the store no one answered . We called customer service waited on the phone for 2 hours till giving up. Called roadside assistance same 2 hour wait . They are not worth it I promise you. I would avoid them at all costs because if they clearly don’t care to take care of their cars and take care of airbags which are a major safety device to make sure you don’t go through the windshield than they won’t care about your safety to begi

I booked through Priceline for what was advertised as $8 per day. Sounds great, right? Well, when I arrived to pick up the car, suddenly they told me they couldn’t proceed with the Priceline reservation. No real explanation. But don’t worry—they had a “solution.” They said they could just create a new reservation directly with Fox and that I should simply call Priceline for a full refund. After standing in line for an hour, I finally said fine. So my amazing $8 rental quickly turned into a complete nightmare. After returning the vehicle (for a 2-day rental), I was charged $368. I had a very disappointing experience with Fox Rent A Car at Austin Airport and want to warn others to be extremely cautious. When I picked up the vehicle, I chose the prepaid fuel option. The front desk agent explicitly told me that I would only be charged for the fuel I actually used, with no additional fees. Based on that explanation, I agreed. However, when I received my final bill, I was shocked to see that I was charged for a full empty tank. After I disputed it, they adjusted the charge — but instead of charging me for the actual fuel I used, they still charged me for half a tank, plus additional related fees. As for my 2nd time renting from Fox, i usually rent from some of the major car rental companies. Fox has been an exceptional company that will be my go to when ever i visit Austin. The cars are very clean and they have a variety to suit your needs. Plus, the prices are unbeatable. The staff from the reservation counter to the pickup counter have been very professional. Was surprised that one of the reservation counter staff members Zak, remembered me and ask how was my wife, which she was in the restroom. Zak has great knowledge of Austin and recommended us to some great restaurants and things to do in Austin. I had a really smooth experience renting my car thanks to Zak. He was professional, friendly, and extremely efficient from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, he answered all my questions without rushing, and the entire process took way less time than I expected. You can tell he’s very knowledgeable and actually cares about doing his job well. No confusion, no unnecessary delays—just solid, straightforward service.
