Fs Ignitions

I just got around to installing this ignition on my 1930 Model A Ford and I should have done it 2000 miles ago. I have struggled with points and condensers for the last time, this ignition is just what this Burtz's motor needed. Acceleration is way better and I don't have to advance the distributor as quickly, plenty of power with minimal advancing. I went with the Flame Thrower coil that you suggested and it was the right decision. Thanks for everything, all my best.

I called a little over a week ago and talked with the gentleman (sorry, I’m not good with remembering names) about my engine acting a bit sluggish at higher RPMs. I had the distributor set at 10 degrees advanced cause that’s where it seemed to sound good at idle and also seemed to do well when giving it gas while parked. This gentleman told me to be leery of the new Rex timing brackets. “They’ve been known to be off” Well I went ahead and pulled a spark plug and checked for TDC and I’ll be damned if that thing was off by 6 degrees. Also I learned a very valuable lesson about buying a cheap timing light off of Amazon. That lesson is, DON’T. I used my neighbors snap on timing light and learned the cheap Amazon timing light had a bit of a delay. Now that Ive adjusted everything I’m running
