Garden View Care Center of Dougherty Ferry has been a significant improvement for my mom, and our experience over the past two and a half months has been very positive overall. What stands out most is the level of communication and proactive care. The nursing staff is in constant contact with me regarding my mom’s health, and the doctor is extremely responsive. One recent example really reflects their level of care: when my mom developed a low-grade fever, the nurse contacted me right away, appropriate testing was initiated and the doctor came to see her promptly. Their kindness, patience, and dedication went far beyond their duties, bringing comfort, dignity, and warmth to her each day. It was clear in the way they spoke to her, cared for her, and supported our family that they truly loved her. We will always be deeply thankful for the tenderness and respect they gave her in her final chapter.

TERRIBLE! Garden View Care Center is the absolute worst! My mom was there rehab for a broken hip and arm. Terrible therapy! They weren’t even focusing on her needs. All they were doing was having her throw stuffed animals in a basket and playing a memory game. The staff was verbally and emotionally abusing her. Making her feel bullied and intimidated to ask for help. One tech not wanting to do her job was telling her she’s drinking too much water and that’s why she had to go to the bathroom all the time. Another worker told her just to wheel herself into the bathroom and go herself. Others come in yelling and irritated. The Garden View Care Center on Dougherty Ferry in Valley Park, MO is the absolute best nursing care facility my family has ever experienced. My father-in-law was there for several weeks and passed there. The employees, including the receptionists, social workers, nurses and care givers, were all very friendly, warm, supportive and caring. Towards the end, one worker brought in beverages and snacks while we held our vigil. One of the receptionists made sure that the beverage center in the lobby was available over night. The nurses, social workers, and care givers were responsive and took time to explain things and answer questions. In addition, the facility was always immaculate and orderly. My father had been in and out of nursing homes for rehab for a year and a half before the time came for him to finally go into a home. We weren't sure what to expect with Gardenview but it was above and beyond our expectations. They have a great staff from the nurses, to the activity director, to the DJ, to those in the business office, all were more than great. I cannot speak negatively about anyone we met there. I highly recommend Gardenview for anyone needing care for their loved one.
