Bought a truck only to find a bunch of patched hidden issues. Sealant putty smeared over the back of the head to hide a big oil leak, electrical tape wrapped around vacuum lines to hide vacuum leaks, lexel smeared on the side of the radiator to hide coolant leak, ect. Of course all this showed up a couple days after purchase, $3,500 worth of repairs. A little honesty about what a vehicle needs goes a long way, but hiding problems is just crooked business. Vehicle was a one-owner traded in at Ford Dealership, and I know dang well a Ford dealership didn't do this, and they look for patch work like this on a trade-in.
