Glacier Hills Senior Living Community

Glacier Hills has proven time and time again why you would want you family members to live in such an amazing community. They have excellent leadership that is hands on. They strive to ensure all patients are taking care of, needs are meant and goals are meant. I would recommend my grandparents to Glacier Hills!!!!

I have family members who have been residents in the Pavillion at Glacier Hills since it was rebuilt into brand new apartments almost 3 years ago. They are very gracious people and would never think to mention both the positives and negatives in a review. I would like to provide a balanced review of the good and the disappointing for those who are considering moving into Glacier Hills themselves or have relatives who are considering the move. First, the staff who have daily or weekly interactions with my family members have proven to be consistently warm and helpful to the extent of their ability and authority. My family has also been delighted with the community of other residents they've come to know. Second, the food. Big hits and big misses in otherwise ok but not superb offerings. N

My Mom came to Glacier Hills for rehab after breaking her hip. The physical therapist, Jenny was excellent. She gently pushed her to walk again. Thanks. But, the Food service was ok, very inexperienced. The care workers were good. But, when she first arrived no one communicated how things would run. A few days later someone dropped off a purple folder which there was no communication . We helped her sign up for meals and laundry because she was out of it. Then I talked to the head nurse and told her that we signed her up for laundry and no one came for that week. She hardly had any clean clothes left. So a better intake process would help the patients and their families.

I am pleased to share the wonderful experience my family recently had at Glacier Hills Rehab in Ann Arbor. My father spent about four weeks there for rehabilitation, and he left the facility noticeably stronger and healthier. From Leann and the dedicated nursing staff to the skilled rehab team and even the kitchen staff, every member of the team was exceptional. The facility itself is spotless, welcoming, and fresh-smelling. I highly recommend Glacier Hills Rehab to anyone in need of quality care.

My father was placed in Glacier Hills to get physical therapy after a fall. He has been there three days and received physical therapy only once … and that was primarily putting him on a stationary bicycle and saying “pedal.“ So far it appears that they are simply warehousing my dad. I will update this as things progress, or don’t. Update: Things got incrementally better during my dad's 2 week stay. One of the therapists he liked a lot, the other not at all.
