Gombosi Tire & Automotive Service

I left my car with them to diagnose an air conditioning problem. They said the compressor needed to be replaced and it would cost $5000, this is 4 times what any other shop would charge. I declined the service, they told me my battery died in their shop and they had to put a new battery in it, they charged me $400 for it. I got home and popped the hood to see what I assumed would be a gold plated battery given the price, I found a dirty used battery. This shop was the best in town 20 years ago but they're awful now.

Got a bolt in one of my tires and they repaired it, I was in and out in 30 minutes. Owners are very personable! They also advised they do pretty much everything so next time I need some work done on my car I know where I’m going. I let them know I was fully aware my car was in rough shape & needed many more repairs but today I just needed my tire repaired. They did NOT waste my time attempting to talk me into other repairs that would cost me hundreds of dollars like every other shop usually does. I GREATLY appreciated that. The pricing of $30 I felt was very fair as they need to make a profit as a business and I wasn’t comfortable attempting a repair myself. No hassling or annoyance - overall great experience.

Great experience! I'm very picky about where I take my car to get worked on, so I did a lot of research and learned that this was the place to go for alignments around Lockport. I definitely confirmed this to be true; Joe did a great job at a very fair price, wayy less than the dealer was going to charge me. Also, Joe is a super nice guy and I could tell he's very proud of his work. I'll be coming back for any tire/alignment work in the future.

Joe is very nice and honest. He was able to get me in and out (45 mins) on a Saturday morning to repair a screw in a tire ($28). Plus, he didn't mind when my two kids got a bit rambunctious. I'll be back for future car needs.
