Great Falls Auto Repair

My family was recommended this auto repair shop when we first moved here around 5 years ago, and initially they were fantastic. Pretty reasonable on pricing, consistent work, and no BS. But over the last two years (really since they moved to the Black Eagle location) they seem to be drinking some bad juju water. 1) The pricing has absolutely skyrocketed. They now charge $250+ for a vehicle inspection, where other mechanic shops in town (with better ratings) charge less than $100 for the same exact inspections. On top of that, they have tried to overcharge us multiple times (often 2-3x) what the actual repair costs. 2) Inconsistency. They have fired multiple mechanics and seem to only hold onto them for 6 months at best. We have had different mechanics tell us different things about vehicl

This place is the biggest scam! Stay away! I asked for a replacement brake line. (A normal person would assume they’d replace the entire line.) Instead they replaced a 6 inch section and charged 3-4 hours of labor. They charged me for an engine bay wash and the shit was still dirty. It literally look like they wiped it with dirty mop water and rinsed it with a water hose. For this BS repair they charged me 1775. I promise you, you are better off finding some other shop.

Charged me almost $1,000 to replace the battery and alternator in my truck (which is old and therefore simple.) And from my research it looks like they damaged the oil pressure sensor when they did their job because there is now oil pouring into the passenger floorboard. I'm actually done with them and I don't want to pursue fighting with them to get them to fix the problem. Save your money and go somewhere better.

Prior to driving into Great Falls I replaced my own alternator, but unfortunately, the alternator I put in was faulty. I was able to limp the vehicle to Great Falls auto repair which I was super nervous because I had my two-year-old son as well. Great Falls Auto Repair was able to diagnose that the alternator was faulty and did it free of charge and also gave me good advice to what I should do next and offered to help. Thank you, Great Falls auto repair in the time of need and being so helpful.

Great Falls Auto Repair has replaced my front wheel bearings and my left CV axle and everything is running great. They are prompt with repairs and stay true to their quotes. I am very pleased with their work and with a higher mileage vehicle I plan on coming back when the need arises. 5 stars 💪
