Grit Overland

We are happy with our Grit build for the following reasons: Easy to drive and agile, oh my. No DEF or diesel-YAY The girls (Bodhi and Ceil) love their crate with the Pendleton bed! Thank you Jake Rolef screens have been great Heat was easy and did not take long to overheat, even at 65 degrees set. This van has some kind of insulation… Fridge worked well and we adapted to it fast. It was great along the trip to see so many Ford dealerships and not sure we saw one Mercedes dealership. It is so much easier to manage the systems, guess we need to try the AC as we have not yet. Vancompass suspension really provides a great ride! We have yet to plug in, except at home in her home. I picked up my Grit Overland van in late May of 2025 and have spent many nights in it since on some great adventures. Grit installed their Core Package build on my 2024 Ford Transit Trail and we also added numerous other upgrades inside and out. Kirk the sales manager was super helpful with all my questions. He provided some great guidance and advice as he has significant experience with adventure vans and his personal Grit built van. Purchasing a van and building it out is a big decision that you’re putting significant time and resources into. We purchased a Ford Transit van with the GRIT OVERLAND S4 “house” in March 2025 from Johnson RV in Fife, WA. As first-time van owners we have had many questions. The GRIT team has been very responsive each time we have contacted them for support via phone, texts, and emails. We also stopped by the shop in Washougal to have them perform a “once over” while addressing a few updates and basic repairs. They provided a very helpful GRIT 101 discussion about many of the S4 features and functionality. We have really enjoyed the van in these first few months and sincerely appreciate the outstanding support from the GRIT team. We named our van Gertie the GOAT and she has reliably taken us all across the country during every season of the year! From mountain passes to muddy forest roads and the long plains for North Dakota, we have slept comfortably night after night. After nine months of travels, a wiring harness apparently jiggled loose and was causing an intermittent error with the van. I contacted the team at Grit and they brought the van into their Warranty shop and not only fixed the harness but went thru the entire van with a fine tooth comb!! They looked at every part, tightened every connection, upgraded a few known issues even though I wasn't experiencing them. Their motto was, "lets change this now to avoid potential issues in the future!" I am beyond impress with the team they have at GRIT! Special

We bought our van in September of 2024 and LOVE it! We went to Johnson RV in Sandy to look at a different camper van, saw the Grit Overland van from across the parking lot and requested to see it. The van had everything we were looking for in a camper van...simple layout, nice size bed, no pinch points, awesome features/add ons and also room to add on as we learn how we travel and exist in the space. BONUS - it was built in the PNW! We recently visited the shop and everyone we met was knowledgeable and so friendly. They went above and beyond! Highly recommend taking a look at Grit Overland if you're in the market for a camper van!
