Harbor Freight

Well stocked, clean, and I ended up purchasing more than I came in for! Helpful staff, especially Daniel, a floor sales associate!! He is very courteous and knowlegable. The check out register operator even informed me that I selected the wrong consumables for my grinder purchase! I had a very good experience at the Dysart Ave. and Van Buren store!

After being a long-term client at this Harbor Fright, a new manager named Christopher failed to make sure all advertisements were updated. After finding a particular Bauer hand tool that is free with the purchase of a battery, I felt like making the purchase and was getting two additional power tools that were not even on sale. Unfortunately, Christopher lacked the manager skills for this situation. Christopher immediately started to act like a used car sale man, by stating " I can't afford to give you anything for free,but I can offer you a discount of a few pennies to the dollars you would have save?". I told him that doesn't sound fair, especially since the employee I first spoke to said the manager can validate the offer since it was still posted on the wall. Christopher kept repeating

Shopped in this store today and spent $70. At the checkout I remembered that oh, I think there was a promotion in radio for a free bucket over $29. I asked the cashier guy. He said I should have told it in advance to do the barcode. I told him politely it’s probably your job to tell customers about promotion they are entitled to. He laughed very loudly in my face and said well, he doesn’t think so! Then he turn around and started to do other things. We waited as we thought he is coming back to us. But not. He turned back and said what are we still waiting for? We said you told us you need the barcode. He said no, just grab the bucket, I don’t care. We did and on the way out he shouted after us, hey you got your free bucket after all! I was out of words. It was a younger chubby Hispanic guy

The worker Alfonso here. Made a customer out of me. Ive always been reluctant on harbor freight tools etc.. I will continue using this place. Alfonso took his time explaining warranties and even coupons to use. Etc. Its clear he cares about the customers. And very knowledgeable of this store and tools. I appreciate him and this store.

Friendly and helpful staff with most of your hardware needs. They don’t sell plants though. I bought a pair of gardening gloves and some solar powered outdoor lights and they have a 90 day guarantee.
