Hardin County Tire & Service

We have had issues in the past but nothing like this last experience. We noticed some creaking in the front end of my car (literally could push down on right side of the car and hear it) and we had originally told them to take a look at the suspension. They did an oil change/tire rotation and proceeded to tell me that it was the rack and pinion system in my steering and that there was nothing they could do. They recommended a couple local shops and I took it to a mechanic that has done work for us in the past. He drove it, found nothing wrong with the steering and before even getting it on the lift he instantly knew it was the front end suspension. I called about repairing a tractor tire tube, but was repeatedly questioned on my knowledge of it strictly being a tube requiring repair. I guess when you present information that you have right in front of you, that it just isn’t true. I was told I needed to repair both tube and tire, sight unseen. Turns out, it cost $5 to repair and we’re back to using our tractor again, versus the $150-200 minimum we were quoted.

This shop is the epitome of customer service and charm. We had a blow out on the interstate late in the afternoon the day before Thanksgiving. They were the only shop that had the size tire we needed. When we got there we were greeted by the nicest receptionist and they fit us in almost immediately even though they had a full house. We were back on the road in about an hour. The facility was exceptionally clean and everyone was welcoming and nice. They seem to care about everyone who walks in, not just their regulars. And by listening to the conversations they also seem to be very engaged in their community. Would definitely recommend them!

Traveling throughout Iowa, I will say that it has been such a pleasure! This is such a clean, wholesome, kind state. The people, the businesses, the food, I love this state a lot. Hardin County Tire and Service was the cherry on top, they were so nice, the lady at the front desk had a genuine kind spirit, you can tell she is happy with her job. The men at this shop were so nice to me, I travel full time, I’ve been to many tire shops, this tire shop went above just getting me back on the road, they made sure they kept me safe and protected my car from any damage. I truly appreciate the customer service that I was provided with, I give this place a 10/10! Plus, I feel like they did a lot for a little, I expected things to cost more but they were fair and I also appreciate that! Thank you!

A cordial and professional service person named Shane replaced a tire for us roadside. It was such a blessing! The staff in the shop was great to work with. Jason helped me understand the best way to work with the tires I have until i can replace all six. Price was comparable with others in the area. Great experience start to finish.
