I had an extremely disappointing experience at Harrodsburg Tire and Automotive. Last Wednesday, I brought in a new tire and a new rim (my original rim was bent) and asked them to mount the tire and properly repair a nail puncture. While observing the repair process, it became evident that the technician was unsure of the correct procedure. The patch application did not appear to be done properly, and my concerns unfortunately proved valid. I paid $60 for the service and left. Four days later, the tire was completely flat. After inflating it and applying soapy water to locate the issue, I discovered air leaking directly through the patch. I removed the tire myself and returned to the shop. They used to be a great shop, I’ve gone there a dozen times in the last several years. Honest and helpful but the way they are now I’ll never go back. I’ve had to replace tires on 2 vehicles in the last 3 weeks and both times they charged me more than I was quoted. First time they tried to overcharge me by $120 and when I said something, they made excuses and reduced it to overcharging me by $40. Today they overcharged me by $30 and blamed it on having to replace 2 $5 sensors. Math still doesn’t add up. When I called for the quote I asked for a complete price tires, mounting and balancing. I confirmed the price when I dropped the vehicle off. They do fine work but don’t bother asking how much because they will charge whatever they damn well please. Very dishonest way to run a business.

I had a SUV breakdown a few blocks down the road from the shop thinking that I was lucky I had it towed to the shop, during the 5 days that it took to fix my vehicle I was quoted several different prices I was quoted several different parts none of which was wrong with the vehicle, and at one point believe it or not I was using the restroom in the shop when a man that identified himself as the supervisor his name was Rich came into the restroom and said that he would discount the charges if I let him touch my private... Was a little leery after reading all the reviews, but my diesel mechanic recommended them. They corrected my alignment issues on my dually and charged what I thought was a fair price. Would definitely take my truck back!

After having my Ford explorer towed there for a starter, they told me I need a AC compressor- after having my vehicle from fri-wed I went to pick it up & they hadn't started the work. So after a few hour more wait I received my keys as well as a bill FAR higher then I was quoted. After leaving and getting on the highway the belt they placed on incorrectly came off tangled up and I was on the side of the highway, calling the shop an having the person who paid for the parts call the manager rich was very rude to her via phone & finally came to me with no tools and just kept saying I don't know, he then put a different belt on again incorrectly and then tried to start it, all while the belt isn't working correctly the SUV was actively overheating, emitting large clouds of white smokeuntil fin
