Hayward Auto Care

I've been taking my cars to Ken for a few years now. I feel like he always takes care of us without charging extra for unnecessary services. We have two aging cars with 200k plus miles on each. Both needed significant work this year. He not only did a great job but he cleaned both engines so they look brand new (a totally unexpected but terrific service). The pic below is from my 2013 Accord that has 200k miles on it.

Ken is the only person I trust with my car. I drive a 2013 Honda Accord and I always make sure to take my car to Hayward Auto Care when I’m driving from San Diego to the Bay. I’ve gone to multiple mechanics in the San Diego, and I thought that all mechanics were the same, until I was proven wrong one day when I drove to the Bay and wanted to let Ken see my car before I drove back down. Immediately he noticed I had a massive oil leak in my engine that my mechanic in SD completely missed. It was actually very dangerous for me to be driving my car with the engine in that condition. And I took my car to that mechanic only a month before my trip. Not only did Ken fix up my engine, he gave me advice for maintenance that I needed in my car to prevent any other accidents that could happen. And af

Passed on 1st time, and technician was very good. The owner/manager, Jack, charges near 2x other shops in area, paid $120. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else for smog checks

We've been bringing our family’s cars to Hayward Auto Care for years, and the service has always been outstanding. The quality of work is top-notch, and Ken and his team are consistently honest and dependable. A few months ago, my daughter got a quote for brakes and an oil change from another shop just to compare—and it was over $100 more than Hayward Auto! We truly appreciate their fair pricing and excellent service. We'll be loyal customers for life!

2013 ATS needed new brakes. They quoted me at $1100 for something that's routine maintenance🤯 Went to O'Reilly, bought brake pads for $70 and installed them myself in 40 min. (And it would've still been $900 cheaper with new rotors!) Get multiple quotes before getting work done, the prices some of these mechanics are trying to charge is insane.
