Hertz Car Rental - Anaheim - West Katella Avenue

We made a reservation at 4 PM to pick up a car before 5. We drove 45 minutes thru heavy traffic, to find that they were closed their phone machine says they close at 3! How could they accept a 5 pm reservation? Then stuck ; had to drive back and beg someone again for another ride to another rental car agency. So this is Hertz? Ugh, so after the fact, they even dinged my credit card fo $28.14

Location is low on employees. One guy had to do everything! He was still nice, but you could see, it's too much. So bring time. Why 0 points? The big problem here is that the location is closed outside of business hours. No drop-off box. The gate is closed. I couldn't even imagine that in 2025, there are no options for customers to drop off the car whenever they want. Saturday open until 12 pm? Sundays closed? Not suitable. Customer unfriendly. Why would I rent from this location when there is 0 flexibility.

Picked up a car for a one-way rental. Quick service and the employee was nice. My only qualm is that I picked it up a little earlier than my reservation, which meant if I sent return the car earlier on drop off day, I’d be charged more. But that wasn’t explained to me at pick up, I got an email with rental return info that had the new time. So I had to pay extra to extend the rental until the original drop off time. I get if it would have been a significant amount of time, but two hours doesn’t seem like it should make a difference. Most rental car companies don’t do this, so it was a surprise to me.

From the very beginning, Faisal went above and beyond—he personally walked us through every step of the pickup process and even emailed us ahead of time to make sure everything was clear and seamless. When the vehicle we were initially provided experienced transmission trouble—and we were on a tight schedule to get to our destination—Faisal once again stepped in without hesitation. Even during non-operating hours, he immediately took action, found a replacement vehicle, and personally delivered it to our location so we could stay on track. We originally had a reservation for Dec 27. After changing the dates to allow us to stay on vacation one more time, we had a confirmed reservation for Dec 28. According to the online website, the reservation was ready to pick up two hours ahead of the scheduled time. Upon arrival at the counter, the best they could do was say, “Sorry, we are sold out.” Manager wanted us to contact costumer services to see what they could do. So leaving people stranded after months of booking is their way of dealing with costumer. Will never rent from this place again.
