Hertz Car Rental - Baltimore - Baltimorewashington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

My experience was good it really could have been worse based on situation but my helper was very professional and understanding. However there was a snow storm and my rental car was stuck in ice/snow i had a flight to catch Monday night so we started digging blowing and shoveling but nothing was working the ice was hard and zero temperature made it worse I reached out to customer service asking for a tow only to find out that they only offer a 20 mile tow and I was 29 miles out, and even though situation was dire they refused to assist me any further I felt very disappointed and overwhelmed because I didn’t want to leave their car for someone else to drop off and I wasn’t trying to miss my flight. I feel like they could have made an exception in times when bad weather is the case.

Do not rent form this branch. A friend told me to use another but I am a Gold member and Presidents Circle regular. He said he and another worker were charged for gas even though they returned their cars full. Upon my return, there were no return agents at all. I took a photo of the tank clearly fillled over the F and also had my recipt. By the time I got into the airport, My receipt came and I was charged $46 as though I did not fill it. They did to me what I was warned they would do. I was shocked. I finally got an actual customer service agent on the line and they told me where to mail my phtos. a few hours later they confirmed they received them and I have to call in 24-48 hours to ask for my refund as they could not issue it until the charge was posted. I was very dissatisfied with my pick up experience on Monday night. I prepaid for my car which was supposed to be available at 7 PM. I did not get a car until 8:30 PM and was told that they did not have any available cars. I sat in the lobby along with many others waiting for a vehicle. I feel that Hertz’s could have at least sent an email or phone call, notifying their customers of this situation. This was a total disregard to their customers,. This made me feel Stuck and gave me no other choice, but to wait because my money had already been spent.. Do better Hertz’s

Do NOT rent from this Hertz!! You have been warned! Also, don't rent from this Dollar and Thrifty since they are owned by Hertz. Don't do it!! I'm a Gold member who prepaid for a car. My reservation is supposed to be secured. I got here and they said they have no vehicles. They keep turning away prepaid reservation holders and Gold members. Just awful. And the team here won't do anything to help you. They won't help you get a car at another location. They won't even cancel your reservation and refund you. They force you to call customer service to get your reservation refunded. Probably won't ever rent from Hertz in general after this. This experience could not have been more of a disaster. Don't book with Hertz!!

The BWI location never answers their phone. I got in just passed midnight, and the customer service rep on the phone said BWI was closed. They suggested I call the local number which never picked up. So I booked a nearby, unrefundable hotel room. Come to find out later Hertz was open past midnight. No bueno. Oh and four water bottles were left under my seat and one got under my feet while driving. Yikes! **** Update: So they sent me a link, but it was just to a chat robot that didn't actually read what I wrote. That's a shame that they've gone in this direction.
