Hertz Car Rental - Bellingham - Bellingham International Airport (BLI)

After being diverted to Portland from Seattle because of fog, we rented a car from Hertz at Portland Airport. Gary was the front desk member we dealt with. He was awesome, pleasant to chat with and knowledgeable about the car and directions. We drove to Bellingham airport where our own car was parked. The process to drop off the rental to Hertz was far easier than I had anticipated and was pleasantly surprised. Our bill was emailed and it was exactly as was quoted, no hidden surprises. Thank you Gary and Hertz, we made it home safely.

This is my second time renting from this location. I have had nothing but the best experience. I will update with the two gentlemen that helped during the rental check out process. However I encourage folks to become part of Hertz Gold Member, add your information so that pick up is breeze. The vehicles are always nice and clean, usually newer vehicles. It does get busy there as Southwest has started to fly to/from BLI.

we had a brilliant experience with driving CHV Tahoe, no problems, no any other issue, the performance was satisfying, the heating was also good and that kept us warm all the way to our vacation.

The first car we got was ok, nothing special. We hit a large rock in the road after some rocks had fallen from a mountain side and blew out the tires on the way to North Cascades National Park. The donut was larger than the original tired and the Jack was small. Changing the tire on the side of a mountain in the rain was an interesting experience. We had to drive the car two hours away to the next closest airport to get a new car. We paid $140 for the tires to be replaced. The size of the next car was fine but the gas tank was only 3/4 full which is super annoying since we returned a full tank and would be expected to do the same with the next car too.

They did a great job. The guy at through counter even drove the truck to the curb so I didn’t have to haul my heavy package across the street. Great experience.
