Hertz Car Rental - Boise Air Terminal

First off, major shout out to Ashley for going above & beyond today! I returned my car but left my backpack (with my laptop, hard drive and other really important items inside) on the passenger seat. I was at check in when I received a call, and it was Ashley, who was able to quickly find my number and let me know she had the backpack. She got my location and literally ran it up to me! An absolute life saver, and I was able to make my flight. Check in was a breeze, the car was spotless, and the experience with Hertz was A+ all around. As of right now (September, 2025), there is considerable construction at the airport, and the signs are a bit confusing to get back to the rental car lot to return it. My first contact with customer service desk representative was HORRIBLE...She had the WORST customer service. A very poor reflection on Hertz @ Boise ID airport. The person 'HC' (listed on the contract) lacked professionalism and personality. She failed to provide basic rental car information, and optional features. She lacked basic courtesy, and rushed the transaction. She did NOT offer any information on the gas refuel policy. She listed declined on the contract. She lied. She did NOT provide an explanation on the rental car insurance. I was treated so unkind. If my appearance offended or annoyed her, she absolutely showed it. She was very snappy when I asked her to repeat the directions to the car lot. The employee working next to her gave his customers the utmost customer serv

I’ve always got an upgrade from this Hertz as a President’s Circle. Today, the gentleman serving just got me the least favorable car in the lot, telling me that they sold out. Nonetheless, the lot was full with cars, except for 2 slots. All cars there were SUVs and just 3 Sedans, including the one given to me. He just wanted to charge $40 for the upgrade. This is not how you go about your loyal customers.

If you do decide to rent from them there is 2 60 dollar fees they do not disclose to you until you get the bill. Honestly go somewhere else cause of the fees. Other than that had a good experience car was clean. It needed maintenance soon so that kept popping up. Only issue i had was the 120 dollars and the maintenance due light. Go rent from the other hertz around here that doesn't charge you the fees. 14 percent of my entire bill was just fees. That is saying a lot for a week long rental at 85 a day.

I rented a vehicle at this location from April 24th to 26th, reserving a slot online and utilizing the manager's special rate. A technical issue arose with the Hertz app, incorrectly displaying my pickup time as expired, despite having already collected the car an hour prior. Following a call to corporate, I was instructed to return to the airport location to resolve the discrepancy. The corporate helpline was unhelpful and offered no immediate solution. Upon returning, the issue was resolved. While delayed in submitting this review, I wish to commend Habil for his professionalism, exceptional customer service, and hospitality. He addressed my concerns and alleviated my anxieties, despite reading the pre-existing reservations based on prior online reviews. Habil also assisted efficie
