Hertz Car Rental - Cedar Park Hle

A huge shout-out to the branch manager, Shelton! He provided some of the best customer service we’ve encountered in the area. He was incredibly accommodating, patient, and explained everything clearly. We loved his energy! The vehicle we received was new and well-maintained, and the return process at DFW was seamless. We are very satisfied and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

I’ve rented from Cedar Park Hertz for the past 3 years. I’ve witnessed them be disrespected by customers and remained professional. Society is imperfect but expects perfect service workers while they are rude and give them a hard time. These people work for a company and they do the job to the best of their ability. Every interaction hasn’t been perfect but I never close out a rental unsatisfied. A little communication goes a long way. I highly recommend this location as well as the one on W. Anderson. I didn’t rent a car here—I participated in a social experiment about how badly a business can operate and still remain open. 1. Reservations mean absolutely nothing. Booking a car here is like making a wish on a falling star. If someone else shows up willing to pay more, your reservation will vanish in real time. This happened to us. I had to call Hertz and pay more just to get the same car back. Extortion, but with a counter and a logo. 2. The staff are NPCs. Not rude. Not helpful. Just… empty. Imagine a microphone duct-taped to a human-shaped object. Even my 12-year-old noticed and asked, “Dad, are they real?” Customer service is clearly optional here. 3. One thing I do not play about is unauthorized charges! Long story short I ended up not renting from them…. Not an issue. That was on December 17th. I rarely check my bank statements because I rarely use my bank cards. But since I have been required to use my actual bank cards to use rentals, I went ahead and checked my statement and found something fishy. December 17th is when I attempted to rent with Hertz, they charged me on December 21st $50.99 … for what? I’m not sure but I will forever stay away from this company.

I’m extremely, extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Hertz. I had booked my vehicle well in advance, yet the car provided had brakes that were not working properly. It’s unacceptable and unsafe to put a vehicle like this on the road, especially for families who trust Hertz with their travel. This shows a serious lack of quality checks and responsibility. I expected far better, and this experience has completely shaken my confidence in Hertz. I hope they address this issue immediately.
