Hertz Car Rental - Kearney - 806 Central Avenue

All the staff--Dale, Nate, Leo, etc--are knowlegeable about cars as well as rental agreements. They advised me clearly with no hard-sell attitude or hidden "extras". The Enterprise office is located on an accessible stretch of Kearney's main street--2nd Avenue--with gas stations nearby for any return refills. They had a great selection when I was there. Maybe get that black Hyundai Sonata next trip!

I made a reservation and was given a confirmation number and a confirmation time to pick up vehicle. When I arrived I was told there are no vehicles and was sent away with the promise of a phone call when they would be able to provide a vehicle. One week later and still haven't heard anything, called for assistance and was basically told they don't have vehicles so they can't fill the reservation and gave no other option. What a joke

***DO NOT RENT FROM HERE” The absolute WORST experience at this car rental place. You will be treated as a “less than” individual the moment you walk in the door. I was told “do not piss me off or you will not get a car”. Our vehicle broke down and so our situation was already high stress and walking into HERTZ Kearney they definitely want you you feel they are the boss, in control and that you are a less than worthy person to rent their vehicles. Very unprofessional. We went several blocks away to ENTERPRISE and got a HASSLE FREE and super easy rental experience. Now you know. Pic included of our super nice car from ENTERPRISE.

Despite of all the other reviews, I had a great experience renting a car from this Hertz. I got along just fine with Amy too. She was very friendly and helpful, and other employee was very helpful too. This Hertz is a private own company so you will not able able to use/get some of the Hertz perks tho.

At first, I'd say never return a car to this location. Now, I'll say never rent for Hertz period. I rented a car for a day and returned it at this location. They said I returned it 2 weeks later than I did. Called this location and corporate to get this settled and nothing has happened. This location kept promising to return phone calls, and that never happened. Corporate said an investigation was happening, but I'm starting to not believe that. Pathetic customer service as a location and even worse customer service as a whole organization. If you want a stress free rental, then I suggest going somewhere. Hertz, and specficially this location in Kearney, NE, will scam you.
