Hertz Car Rental - Lynn - Lynnway

Uber drivers: Unless you want to waste your money and be yelled at, please avoid renting a car from Hertz at all costs. I rented a Kia Niro EV, and not only did it have bad wipers, but it also wasn’t charging properly. I contacted roadside assistance and explained the situation. Since it was Sunday and the rental location was closed, they told me I could go to any other location for help. I drove 30 minutes to Boston, only to be yelled at. I have never felt so embarrassed in my life. I paid to use a car for 7 days but was only able to use it for 4—an absolute waste of money.

Went there to pick up my reservation, extremely hard to find the door to get it. Woman came to the door and was so rude. She wasn't pleasant at all. I felt so unwelcome. She was irritated and seemed as though she looked down on me. She should not work there. Unfortunately I didn't catch her name because her attitude was disgusting. I will never recommend this hertz to a single person

Mi experience was normal, but with some caveats. First of all, I've requested explicitly a AWD vehicle, and I was upgraded but to a 4WD vehicle, which is not exactly the same but the woman kept arguing with me that "is the same", I dropped the arguing because I couldn't afford having the person being mad at me. When I requested this person to explain me how to properly select the 4WD options, she had to google it, or look for YouTube videos, clearly not at the level I would expect from a car rental representative. The worst part was that another woman with a car rental arrived at the same time as me, and they didn't had a car for them; and the representative treated her like garbage. She seems to have a bad day every single day as per the other google maps reviews. I can totally confirm

Absolutely terrible experience. The local agents do not answer the phone at all. I was told one price had a pre-authorization put on my card and then a completely different number. That was almost double was actually taken from my card a week later. Including a very large fee that I assume was for cleaning, even though the car was immaculate. Stay away!

On Saturday I went to pick up my car and they were completely closed during operating hours (no sign saying why, just a locked door). Crazy thing is - this is the second time this happened to me at this location! Hours later, I received a call that I could get a car in Malden. I asked them to cancel the reservation - however I still have been charged and have spent hours now trying to get my money back. Wound up renting a car at enterprise across the street and it was fantastic! Go to enterprise - avoid this hertz at all costs.
