Hertz Car Rental - Peabody - Andover Street

Worst customer service I've ever received. Made a reservation online and walked in. Employee informed us "We don't have any cars, come back 5 hours from now" and didn't provide any other solutions. Told me to "Email corporate" when I asked about why I was able to make a reservation. I then inquired about if any other locations had a car and he responded with "You can call them, I don't know" then proceeded to make a phone call and ignore me. Never once made eye contact, showed no customer service skills, and had no interest in helping us figure this out. Avoid this location at all costs.

Absolute worst experience renting a car. I went through AAA, opted for an EV mid-size special, show up and they have no EVs, no mid-size, and the only option was a Kia Forte sedan that reeked of cigarettes AND had an empty under the seat. It doesn’t even matter it wasn’t the right car because the front desk guy (tall, Eastern European accent, can’t remember his name, but he said he was the manager) was SO rude I was honestly speechless. His customer service was some of the worst I have ever seen and it’s was honestly kind of terrifying. He said take it or leave it and was literally pulling random sets of car keys out of this cigar box for the cars. I’m not surprised by the most recent review from the customer stating no one was there. We had to deal with Hertz customer service to file a

This place does not answer their phone EVER. I left some things in the backseat of my returned rental and had been calling continuously because I was having difficulty with the lost and found form. I showed up when it was open and no one was there. I called repeatedly and no one answered. During business hours. This has been happening multiple days in a row. Bad service overall prior to this as well. I finally called customer service main number and they were super unhelpful as well. Told me all I can do is keep trying to get through (no one answers the phone here)! One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had. Will never use hertz again.

Brought my wife to get her rental car that was scheduled here. Upon arrival, no employees were present. Doors wide open, lights on, during business hours. We waited 15 minutes, called countless times. Ended up going to enterprise. Wife got a call back and the employee said “we have no cars” and hung up. Id rent a horse and buggy before going back.

The guy that runs it is great. The easiest car rental experience I’ve had. And the price was very reasonable. Will definitely come here if I need another rental.
