Hertz Car Rental - Plymouth - Sandwich Street

Never, ever trust this company! I booked a car online, as I walk in before the employee even greets me, he says to stop my ride because he doesn’t have a car for me, not asking who I am I said I booked one, I’m not a walk in. He said he still doesn’t have one. After struggling he offered an electric car eventually. When booking online it asks for credit card information, I did not have the card with me as they had already taken and accepted the details. Once I got there, I was declined a car because I didn’t have the card with me. I was stranded, because “my ride that I had to stop” was uber. They did not offer any help whatsoever. Never use it. Unreliable, untrustworthy, horrible. Apart from this, I now had to spend $180 on an uber because of this company.

The team member at the counter was nice and helpful. I arrived two hours before my pick up time. I was allowed to pick up early w/ hesitation. I always use Hertz due to the continued great service.

I would rate this place zero stars if possible. Nothing is as advertised and they don't have any rentals available. Very disappointing to receive a text 2 hours before a reservation. Saying they don't have vehicles. What is going on with the management of this place? The only thing holding the operation together is Jeff! Pay him more!

I had to get a quick rental while in the process of purchasing a new car. I got my first at Enterprise and they were great. I returned my first rental but then ran into a delay in receiving the new car so I had to quickly get a second rental and Hertz was the only place open at that moment. When we pulled up, someone was waiting for me cause they said they couldn’t take my payment with my debit card and needed a credit card. I didn’t happen to have mine on me at that moment so my brother in law placed it on his cause it was urgent. A little annoyed cause that wasn’t a problem at the other place. But when I returned the car, I receive a message that they are going to charge me $400 dollars if I don’t come back and vacuum out the car cause of dog hair. Now, not only did I not have my dogs in

I’ve used this place before, but never again. I pre-paid for a rental but on my way there they called and said they didn’t have a car for me. Then they said they could give me an EV instead. Then they told me that I had reserved an EV, which was not true. After spending an hour at their location they finally gave me a Jeep Compass. About nine hours later, while parked in my daughter’s driveway, the car would not start. I called the next day and was told they would not send a tow truck until Monday (3 days later!) and they would not provide me with a replacement vehicle until then either! At that point I cancelled the reservation and asked for a refund. A week later, I still did not see a refund on my credit card so I called them.
