Hertz Car Rental - Port Charlotte - Tamiami Trail

So here my experience at this rental. They gave me a car (Taos) with a trashed belly pan. Someone proped it up on itself and I didn't notice it until I hit the brakes. I noticed it by the time I got to Sarasota. I noticed this 1 hour after I rented it. I called to get it towed because it eventually dropped to the ground by the time I got home. I actually thought there was something wrong with the brakes at first. Their roadside assistance had me take it to the airport. The tow truck driver was blaring his Mexican music and knew zero English. He drove the wrong way to long term parking and had to back out. That was scary. The process of towing made the belly pan fall out.The airport wouldn't replace it because I was on a H contract. They said they would remove the belly pan. The

Don't go. to this place bad attention the man didn't help me I asked him for a car and he said he didn't put me many buts in the end I prefer another company .. how come they don't have cars to rent with a reservation a month before? It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen

I rented a Tesla model 3 from here it was in perfect shape really pretty car. The staff service was friendly and helpful. I purchased online and everything was there when I got to the office. But a quick thing for everyone to remember if you rent a car from here you have to have a credit card not a debit card you will also be charged a deposit no matter how much you paid up front. My $230 rental for two days when I showed up had a $200 deposit. As soon as I return the car the deposit was returned immediately. But if you have a debit or credit card they're going to charge you $500 with a $200 deposit so just be careful and make sure you read the fine print and check with the store sometimes they won't even let you do it with a debit. I checked if they could pick me up from an auto repair shop 7 miles away in Port Charlotte. The manager advised they were short staffed and could not. The vehicle I reserved was not available when I arrived. I had to wait approximately 45 minutes. The Hertz estimate receipt indicated the gas tank was full - it was not. I had to go back inside the rental office to inform an employee. Some of the windows on the vehicle were soiled. There was an additional charge of $7 a day for an, "Upgrade Indicator". I did not request nor was I given an upgraded vehicle. It was a Nissan Altima. The manager at this location would not adjust my bill. It took a long time to check out due to this billing problem. Never had a problem with Hertz until now.
