Hertz Car Rental - Santa Cruz - Soquel Avenue

Pretty quick in and out. Car was nice, and ready for me when i got there. The midweek deal I got was really good value. The lady at the front was super polite and helpful. There were a lot of customers in at the same time and she did a good job of communicating to everyone what order she could get to them in. Really did go into turbo mode best she could and got everyone on their surprisingly well. So much better than the hertz rental experience at the airpot.

Manager Daniel at the soquel Santa Cruz location was very helpful, friendly and fast when picking up my vehicle. Being presents circle I almost always reserve the managers special and Daniel always has a great vehicle ready and waiting for me when I arrive. Even on last minute reversions. I really appreciate the service i receive at this location and the fact that they are there at all so I do not have to travel to Watsonville to pickup a vehicle.. Also, i returned the vehicle after hours and received a prompt and accurate return confirmation email shortly after the location opened. I very much appreciate that i can rely on the accuracy and honesty of Daniel and his team when returning after hours

Awesome customer service. Clean, new car. The website tricked me and I booked the wrong drop-off location online. When I called to confirm my reservation the employee helped me cancel the first reservation and book a new one (with the correct drop-off location.) I recommend just calling and booking with an actual employee especially if you are doing a one-way-rental. Great experience 👍

They should have a zero star option on here, seriously. Stay away from this location and rent elsewhere. I decided to try an EV for a recent trip. It was a, "managers special" and they don't tell you the actual car before you get there. Upon arrival, I was told the car would be a full EV, the Kia Niro. Skeptical, I asked if they had any hybrids. Nope. How about a gas powered compact for the same price? No, that would be $15 a day more. Really??? Ok fine I'll try the Kia Niro. How's the range? Around 300 miles he says. Wrong. It's about 250 max but you can never get a full charge and if you try to get above 80% charge you'll wait forever and pay $$$. Ok so that was the first lie. How long does it take to fully charge? 30-40 minutes at a fast charger. Lie. Charging from 30% to 70% took that
