Hertz Car Rental - Temecula - Jefferson Avenue

I was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and efficient my rental pickup was at Hertz on March 9, 2026. The car was ready when I arrived, and I was given the key almost immediately. This was a very different experience from the past, when there was often a long wait to receive the vehicle. It’s clear that this location has made significant improvements to the service provided to Gold members. The faster and more organized pickup process made the experience much more convenient and enjoyable. I truly appreciate the improvement and hope this great service continues.

Give yourself an hour to an hour and a half for vehicle pick up at this location. This is not an airport operation. The only reason this place is still in business is lack of competition. I use hertz a lot for business travel and occasionally for personal use when my car is in the shop. This location is the worst I’ve ever seen. Completely disorganized and under staffed. I get it…it’s a strip mall rental and not an efficient airport operation but still. If I were a hertz corporate supervisor in charge of evaluating franchises in this region I’d take a hard look at this location’s business practices. They’re terrible, the majority of reviews indicate it’s a trend and yet the branch management shows they could care less. Expect to wait at least 30 mins to an hour for your pick up. Take pic

I made a reservation to pick up my car at 8:00am. They only had 1 guy working check in desk. It took 2.5 hours to pick up car. I can understand he’s by himself but no urgency in his body, voice or anything. Not even “I’ll be right with you guys.” He needs some basic customer service skills. Hertz needs to hire another person because it seems like he hates his job. When it was finally my turn 2.5 hours later he said “we need to clean it.” I told him I don’t care because we needed to get on the road. I’ve gotten better customer service than a vending machine, at least it tries before stealing your time. I’d recommend avoiding this location or go to enterprise & get a car rental from them.

Returned our car to the ONT airport. Checking in to get our car took around an hour for some reason. They were having computer issues but we were first in line. Wish they were quicker we had a wedding to go to

The employee working was wonderful. However, he was the only employee on site. The wait to pick up a reserved car was over two hours. No bathroom, no water not enough seating to wait. Corporate should arranged for another employee to be there as soon as possible. This was the day after a major holiday. No excuses! Do Better!
