Hertz Car Rental - Urbandale - 100th Street

I recently drove a Tesla Model 3 from the Hertz on 100th St. in Urbandale. This rental was being provided by a local auto body shop while they fixed my vehicle. However, Hertz still took my credit card information, which did not surprise me as I understand having responsibility if I mistreated the vehicle. I got done with the rental and turned it in. I was shocked to later see that this location had charged my American Express card for the full cost of the rental, which was $762.56. I contacted the auto body shop and they got right on it. It is over a week later and Hertz still has not credited my card, even though the auto body shop, which regularly does business with them, sent a PO. 1/26/26 don’t wait your time. Booked a car 3 days in advance and got a call 30 min before I was scheduled to get the keys saying they have absolutely no cars to rent out. Don’t book if you’re relying on a car. Jason the manager sucks.

Horrible service. Will not answer the phone. They put me on immediate hold, and the assistant needed would’ve taken less than 30 sec. Instead I spent well over 45 minutes close to an hour to resolve the issue—which was time sensitive for an existing reservation. Corp was called at least 6x. They told me to contact location directly. 2/18 tried to call Hertz Corp and Local and Credit Card company to resolve.. HERTZ IS IMPOSSIBLE TO TALK TO LIVE AGENT!!! I'm going to Small claims court with all records. BWY, on my Hertz web acct, they have no record of the rental HERTZ CHARGED MY ACCT! DO NOT CONDUCT BIZ WITH THIS COMPANY! There are very negligent on how they do things. They’re very nice to your face but quick to overcharge you. If you go there, make sure they do everything correctly. Pay attention to what they’re doing and how they are doing it.

Absolutely horrendous customer service. Don't even waste your time just pay the extra and go to Enterprise. They have outstanding customer service and they ALWAYS go out of their way. And would NEVER keep you on hold for 34 minutes and still counting waiting for them wo even a courtesy apology.
