The rental experience was absolutely stressful and horrible—never again. I reserved a simple Manager’s Choice vehicle two weeks in advance, then did the online check-in the day before (uploaded my driver’s license and credit card), and everything looked fine. I arrived just 15 minutes after my reserved time window, only to find out they didn’t have my car ready. In fact, they didn’t have any cars. Their response was basically that they didn’t know when they would have one — with zero empathy and no effort to offer a solution. I asked if I’d have a car within the next hour, or even within 30 minutes, and again they wouldn’t commit to anything or even try to check. Will update as I rent here more times. Thus far, two rentals, one smooth the other a nightmare. The smooth one ... pickup the Friday before Thanksgiving. No pressure to purchase additional insurance. No line. Car was ready and clean. Second one, the fuel listed in the receipt didn't match what was in vehicle. Attendant stated they updated it in the system and wrote in pen the correct level. Returned vehicle and went in to confirm the fuel level was correct in the system. They said yes and that I was all set. That person didn't close out the rental and I was eventually contacted my loss prevention claiming I still had the vehicle. After speaking with them I finally received a receipt, but with a fuel charge as if I had received the car at full. Called the location and showed up several tim

I had an excellent experience renting a car at Hertz. Everything was handled smoothly, the car was spotless, and the waiting time was practically zero. But what truly made the difference was the team at the desk: genuinely friendly people who treat you like a valued customer, always with a smile. Diamond was absolutely the best! This was a huge contrast with many of my previous experiences at other car rental locations in Midtown. Highly recommended!

I had a terrible experience. I arrived at the car dealership to pick out a car, but the location was closed. There was a paper posted on the door, directing people to a different location. I had no prior notice or information about this change. Edit: Before returning the car I had called earlier, I wanted to confirm that the location was indeed open. They confirmed that it was. However, when I arrived, the place was still closed.

Rude and dismissive staff. I was incorrectly charged for an extra rental day at nearly 10× the rate promised in my online reservation. When questioned, staff member at the rental counter had the audacity to be impatient and claimed I was “only slightly inconvenienced,” as if this were acceptable. The branch’s opening hours also did not match what was advertised, forcing me to pick up the car early to avoid being sent to another location—and the staff mentioned above tried to penalize me for it.Completely unacceptable. That said, a middle-aged male staff member was very helpful and ultimately stepped in to resolve the issue.
