Hertz Car Rental - Wichita - North Webb Road

My experience here was awful I was renting a car for weeks and needed some maintenance done. Called and made sure it was okay to go first before actually just showing up. The manager at this location told me that it is very hard to get an AIR FILTER approved by corporate. Keep in mind it’s a 15-20 dollar filter. The only reason why I needed that done was because the filter is way too nasty and it’s messing with my allergies being there in the car driving it. They lost my business for a 20 dollar filter. I will never recommend this company for renting ever. Keep in mind that they are making a lot of money from me weekly and can’t replace something needed. Hey Hertz - I am writing because I HAD to formally complain about what was, without exaggeration, one of the most unacceptable rental car experiences I have ever had. I rented a vehicle from Hertz and was provided a Chevy Malibu four-door sedan with over 121,000 miles on it. I was genuinely stunned. It's absurd. Renting a car with 121,000+ miles and visible interior damage is wild, especially from a company that markets itself as a premium, reliable brand. I did not even realize it was possible to rent a vehicle with mileage that high from a major rental company. This was not a rental car, it felt like a worn-out personal vehicle that had been passed down through multiple owners. The interior condition alone was unacceptable. The carpeting on the front passenger side was visibly pulled out

So far so good. I normally rent through Enterprise and have always had good luck with them. This time however, an insurance company for a driver that totalled our car is paying so they selected the rental car company. The folks here have been helpful and pleasant, no issues other than the little hatchback being a little dirty/torn up, not awful.

They made me drive two hours out of my way to drop the car off. They said that I was late dropping it off. So that they couldn't change the drop off. But when I got there the guy said that there was a 2 hour time difference from San Diego to Wichita so I wasn't late dropping it off in fact I was an hour early still after driving there two for 2 hours. This is all after driving 4 days nonstop to take my son that's in the military his truck and his his new wife. They don't know understand why or what it took to climb back into that car and drive 2 hours after driving 4 days Non-Stop for my son that is a Marine.
