Hertz Car Rental - Wolcott - Meriden Road

I had an outstanding experience at the Hertz Wolcott location thanks to the manager, Inga. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and clearly takes great pride in her work. From the moment I arrived, she handled everything with efficiency and confidence, making the entire rental process smooth and stress-free. Inga’s leadership really shows. She is organized, attentive, and goes the extra mile to ensure customers feel valued and taken care of. It’s rare to come across someone who combines professionalism with such genuine customer service. Hertz is fortunate to have someone like Inga managing this location. Her dedication and expertise truly set the standard for what great service should look like.

The only people in the city with the car available. I know I'll be doing business with now in the future. The company I've been using for the last 40 years couldn't help me. I guess that's what happens when you're a faithful customer. They tell you to go screw Hertz just found a new customer. It's going to be very dedicated. One hand washes the other. They just got me out of a bind. I'm very happy with your service!

I reserved a car two months ago and when I arrived at 8 am on time as scheduled I was told a car was not available for me. The guy working made an attempt to apologize the women working was like oh well not my problem. This Women has no business working in customer service. What is the point of a reservation if when I arrive (flew-in from TN). My Christmas holiday was completely ruined, I am not able to see my grandchildren, get to my hotel or anything. Worst experience. I will never rent from this company again. I will sure my company cards are all switched to National going forward for business travel.

I'm pleased with hertz. I have had great times and experiences with Hertz cars. 💯 I plan on upgrading from Gold to Platinum for even more better experiences. (Service and Quality) is KEY.

I rented a car at the JFK airport on 10 December 2025 and returned it to this Hertz location the next day. The car was returned before the deadline, without any damage, and with a full tank. I was supposed to be charged $139.95 for a one-day rental. Instead, on 16 December 2025, I received a receipt from Hertz for $800.04, charging me for 6 days of use plus late fees. I spent 2+ hours on the phone with Hertz getting the matter resolved and now I will be waiting 3-5 days for a refund. This could have been a mistake or attempted fraud. I am convinced it was the latter. Either way, transacting business with this Hertz location is very risky.
