Hertz Rent A Car

The only Hertz location in the entire company that has a $300 deposit when online it was $200 for this location. After renting with Hertz for years this is ridiculous. The policy “just changed” a little while ago. Claimed it was a company wide policy that was changed; however, it is only for this location after speaking with different locations within an hour or two drive. Stay away from this location as they’re no good and just make the trip to the Hertz in Tuscaloosa as they’re more professional than this place.

Update: Insurance set up rental. Husband went to pick up. RUDE sales lady wouldn’t accept sister’s debit card (he forgot his). Also, price and terms had ‘magically’ changed from when she quoted price on phone before he went up there. She mentioned my review from the day before -Vindictive and Unprofessional! 1st review: I would rate less than one star, if possible. Called at 4 pm. They close at 5. Voicemail was not taking msgs bc it was full. Guy that did answer said they come & go. Very unprofessional.

Edited Review: Hertz was able to rent a dirty car to me at a discounted price (and it wasn’t actually that dirty on the inside). They also called the following day to explain why they had left for the day and to make sure everything had been taken care of. Moral of the story- you might have to jump through a few hoops, but you’ll get a car. They want to make it right. Original Review: Fully incompetent. Showed up to rent a car where I had a reservation, the Hertz person had left for the day, and the associate helping us had no idea how to help and had to figure things out on the fly.

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! I was charged 3 times the original amount I signed in the contract. Nobody was there to even give me the car at pickup time. I waited 30 minutes and then they couldn’t even find my car. Save your money.

Called them 4 times today without getting anyone to phone. Last call I was put on hold for 15 minutes. Apparently this is at an auto dealership. The receptionist transfers you. 3 times I got no answer and a mailbox full message. 4th call she put me on hold and never came back. Pathetic
