Hess Garage and Salvage were my mechanics for many years. Right up until they worked on my 17-year-old daughter's car, because we were unable to open the hood. They reported that they also could not open the hood. She drove it 1/4 mile off their lot, and the hood flew open while she was driving, causing an additional $ 2,400 in damage to the car. Dave Hess told us he would make the situation right, but when presented with half the cost to replace the broken windshield, paint the hood, and replace the two quarter panels, he stated that he was not responsible. They refused to pay anything other than giving us the hood, which they already had in the salvage yard. I paid $5300 for them to put my engine in wrong. After returning it many times without them doing anything, they refused to fix it. No honor and integrity in their work or name. My truck is pretty much useless. I am still in shock, that a business can operate like this. Suing them would have cost me more than I paid them.
