Holistic Home Shea

I have a dear friend who had reached a point where she needed 24/7 care. Two people referred me to Holistic Home Shea. This home is beautiful, so spacious and clean. There is an outdoor living space that is so inviting for the residents. My friend comments on how friendly and helpful the staff are. I was very impressed with the knowledge of the House Manager and how she truly deeply cared about my friends care and wellbeing. Putting a loved one in a facility is a tough transition, I am very grateful the staff at Holistic Homes made this journey much easier for me and my friend.

My 98-year-old mom came to Assisted Living of Scottsdale after having hip surgery and going through rehab. ALOS was highly recommended by staff at the rehab facility and I’m so glad they did. The home is conveniently located, clean, spacious and the assistants are always present. Upon meeting the owner, Ileana, I was immediately impressed with her knowledge and experience and knew my mom would be safe and well cared for. The staff provide 24-hour care with cooked meals, personal interactions, and monitoring. They often had my mom laughing. As well, Ileana spent time with her daily and kept me current with mom’s health and needs. My father has been in the facility for 18 months and the care is outstanding. The nursing staff has made adjustments daily to accommodate the changes in my dad's abilities. My dad and his clothes are always clean, his room and bed linens are clean and he is treated with respect. Donna and Ileana are always available, easy to talk with and quick to address any concerns or issues. My sister and I visit daily and are greeted with smiles each time. The whole facility is neat, clean and smells pleasant. I have no worries about my father's care at Assisted Living of Scottsdale. I took care of my dad in my home for 6 years on my own. Ileana, Gabriel and the staff provided excellent skilled nursing care for my mother. Her caregivers were caring and responsive. When my mother started having trouble using her phone, they helped her with it when I called her in between my visits.The home is very clean and welcoming and they provide three home-cooked meals daily. When my mother was in the hospital, Ileana went to see her every day. Whenever I had questions, Ileana responded immediately. Everyone there takes a genuine, personal interest in the residents and their families.

My mom came to Assisted Living of Scottsdale over 2 1/2 years ago. When she first arrived, back in April 2017 she was very frail from surgery and did not rebound from her surgery at her previous assisted living residence. Since April of 2017 mom has consistently gotten stronger, healthier and happier since coming to Assisted Living of Scottsdale. The facility is always very clean and well kept. I am very proud that my mom lives in such a wonderful residence. The staff has always been respectful to me an my family and always lets me know if mom needs anything outside their scope of care. This is a very special place and I feel blessed that I am able to have my mom live out her life in such a beautiful and caring place.
