Holmes Transmission & Repair

Our car broke down on the highway outside of Monticello, so we had it towed to Holmes Transmission and Repair. Mike was fantastic to work with, taking time to move things around to look at the car as soon as he could, all while being very transparent and honest every step of the way. It was apparent right away that he knew his stuff. The problem was diagnosed as a failing fuel pump/sending unit, and the only available part in the area was quickly sourced. Unfortunately, it was an aftermarket unit that did not quite fit, and Mike was very forthcoming about the fact that the fix wouldn't be quite right. My experience here was very positive. Instead of helping me out, they could have easily deferred me to a BMW mechanic to replace my transmission fluid & fluid pan. Everyone I encountered there was polite and down to earth. I definitely would recommend these guys.

Awesome, honest, and a fair priced mechanic. Highly recommend for something as simple as an oil change and up to replacing a transmission. Their tire prices are best in town as well!

If feel if anyone needs repairs done to there car. They should take it to Holmes Transmission in Monticello. The people that work there are vary professional in what they do. Mike is a very honest man with what he does as business. I had told him to replace my breaks on the truck because of the brake light was on in the dash. He could have put new breaks on the truck and charge me for it but instead he tells me my breaks still had 60% left on them. They fixed the problem and everything that I wanted to have done in a timely manner. I give there shop a A+ rating I've been doing business with Holmes Transmission for more than 20 years now and never had a problem with there service which they didn't stand behind.😎
