Hometown Hybrids- Hybrid Vehicle Mobile Mechanic

We needed to replace a hybrid battery in my daughter's 2011 Prius. The local shop said it would cost over $7000 to replace the battery with a new one. We didn't want to pay that much so I did an internet search for another company and found Hometown Hybrids plus a bunch of others. We decided on Hometown Hybrids because they had the best reviews and a comparable price to other similar companies ($2695 total price for a new battery with a 5 yr 100,000 mile warranty). I just had the hybrid battery on my 2013 Lexus ES300H replaced by Hometown Hybrids. I live near Houston and John came out to my house to do the battery swap. He let me know around what time he'd be coming, and then texted when he was on his way to give an exact ETA. Upon arriving he explained what he was going to do and then got to work...it took him less than an hour start to finish. He replaced my old dying battery with a new Toyota OEM replacement that cost me $3,400 (I believe a refurbished battery would have cost me $2,600, but as I'd like to get another 12 years out of my car, I feel the extra money was more than worth it.) I needed my brake actuator replaced on my 2010 Prius with 150k miles. John came to my house and did a great job. He arrived before the scheduled appointment and was done within 2 hours. He triple checked all the brake valves to make sure they wouldn't leak. This was my second time using Hometown Hybrids (I had my hybrid battery replaced 2 years ago) and it was another good experience. I will definitely recommend their service and use it again myself.

Fabulous service and lovely technicians. They did a great job. Very personable and efficient. Offered lots of good advice. They said my 2006 battery was the oldest Prius battery they had ever replaced.
