As a newcomer to Iowa, I was quickly recommended here for an oil change and general "check up" for one of my vehicles. Having a 23 year old truck with over 300,000 miles on it, he could have found 37 things wrong with it to try and upsell me. Instead, he QUICKLY completed the oil change I requested, investigated and quoted me for the few concerns I raised, and reassured me on what fixes should be priority and what could wait. He was professional and very competitively priced on top of it all and sealed the deal with a good ol' fashioned handshake. Payment was convenient and did not break the bank. I will be bringing ALL my vehicles here in the future and am so thankful that I finally "know a guy"!

A few days ago I was returning to Wisconsin from a month long road trip to Southern Arizona when I started having an issue with a grinding noise in my rear wheels with braking and starting esp. on the right. I made it to Anita Lake State Park, Iowa but knew that I couldn't continue the trip without getting the problem fixed. Fortunately, the very friendly and helpful Park Ranger recommended Dakota from I Know a Guy Repair in nearby Atlantic and 2 days later I was on my way home. Thanks Beth, for taking the time to help me out and connect me to Dakota who quickly took care of the problem. FYI, Anita Lake S. Park is a great place to camp and I stay there every Spring on my way down to AZ and then again on my way back home in Wisconsin.

Professional, honest and high quality service. After they fixed my one van with astoundingly thorough service, charging me only fair prices, I decided to have them work on my other vehicles.... I received the same top notch service with no unecessary delay. Totally impressed. Most of all I am just relieved to have found a safe place to bring all my vehicles for regular maintenance. Needed a new clutch and they had the part in and installed in just under a week. Very fast service and custom service is incredible. Will definitely come back again.
