Ian and Teresa are overall quite friendly. Teresa was very helpful with scheduling, and had knowledge about searching through some BMW database records and light troubleshooting. She was right to ask whether the battery was original. Ian: He provided a diagnosis with many printed pages. Ultimately, I replaced the battery on my own which fixed the issue, but he didn't actually recommend, as the battery didn't test poorly. However, I will go back again. I didn't spend a lot of money, and they actually let me jump the schedule a week earlier, due to my own misunderstanding. A good shop.

I had the BMW dealer service center quote me an eye-watering price to replace a timing chain, and other related seals, gaskets, covers,etc. It's a component that is designed to last the life of the engine, so the repair is a substantial amount of labor in disassembly and reassembly. Faced with paying a major portion of the car's value to get it fixed, I decided to get another estimate, and called Ians's garage. Theresa spent a good deal of time with me on the phone explaining the scope and extent of the repair, and provided an estimate that was ~33% less than what BMW had quoted.
