I am very glad to have found JR as I’m not from the area and have spent my last 3 years here bouncing from mechanics and not quite feeling like I’ve either found someone honest or reasonably priced. JR appears to be both! He was very attentive throughout the process texting as he could and keeping me updated on what was needed. I was able to get all brakes, pads, rotors changed, one tire recalibrated, 4 new tires, and a new strut for a fair price. He also topped off my oil. When my husband saw the breakdown he was shocked at how much work had been done in just a day and a half. We will definitely be going to Joel moving forward.

I cannot say enough great things about my experience. My truck needed an engine replacement after developing a severe knocking noise. The job turned out to be far more complicated than any of us expected: Toyota gave me incorrect information about my original engine, and the replacement engine had differences that caused starting issues even after careful installation. Throughout the entire process, Joel showed incredible patience, professionalism, and deep technical knowledge. He didn’t give up when problems came up — they kept digging, testing, and problem-solving methodically. In the end, they correctly diagnosed a very tricky issue with the crank position plate alignment (something most shops would have missed completely). Our vehicle started randomly squealing and screeching on the interstate. We pulled over and called Joel, the owner of JR automotive and he answered right away on a Saturday. He told us it was very busy, but he could fit us in! He tested our vehicle immediately, found a rock stuck behind the wheel, and removed it. He didn’t even charge us for his time. Joel is an expert who truly cares about helping people, not just making a profit.

My late father recommended me to Joel 13 years ago or more. He has been servicing all of my families vehicles for as long as I can remember and he is by far the best! I can’t even tell you how many times he has saved me. I own a small business as well and I need my truck running. Joel has made that happen more than I can remember. It may be preferential treatment (I don’t know) but one time he even drove to me to help me get a tire off of my truck that was jammed and needed to be banged off with a sledgehammer in order for me to get my spare on. He is a true family man and Christian. Thanks Joel for all of your years of service and friendship!
