I saw that their sign says dealer alternative and I agree that is what this place is. I worked with Patrick to get my Lexus Gx470 some new lower control arms and he was very knowledgeable and could speak to previous repairs on this platform that he had done. I’m very busy and he handled everything for me remotely, including getting me quotes quickly, which was a huge help. I found the pricing fair and he got it done for me within one day so I didn’t need to find alternative transportation for long. I drove about 40 minutes out of my way to go to this shop and I’ll be doing that for all future repairs based on the experience i had today.

Great customer service and Patrick, the service rep really took care of me. Thoroughly went over my report and gave me estimates of future repairs and needed repairs. Did not try to take advantage of me unlike the dealerships where they base everything off of mileage and what repairs are needed when the vehicle reaches those milestone. Great owner, took time out to take care of me when I came in to check me in. Really clean waiting area with fully stock and free snacks while waiting. This is my second time there and will be taking my car there to get it service from now on rather then the dealership. Plus, Great and competitive pricing.

Finding a mechanic you can trust with four high-mileage Lexus vehicles isn't easy, but Japanese Auto Repair (JAR) by the Mall of Georgia knocks it out of the park every time. The professionalism and customer service here are absolutely excellent. Patrick and Jason are my go-to guys; they are seriously knowledgeable, super friendly, and always jump right in to get our cars in perfect shape. Patrick deserves an extra five-star rating just for his patience whenever I get carried away and talk his head off! If you want your cars in great hands, definitely bring them to JAR.

My car had a rear main seal leak which is expected given its high mileage:/ but Patrick and the team was helpful and informative in diagnosing my cars leak issue. Was able to get my car back within a couple days all fixed up. Was an expensive repair I would say but it did require my transmission to be pulled down to get to seal. They even tell you other repairs or things that would need to be done on car plus price. If you like a straight up and honest mechanic this is the place and a place I will come back to for my car from here on forward! Thank you!

Jason was very helpful, got me in the same day, the TPS was replaced and the casing was cleaned by the technician. The price of changing the TPS was a bit steep (it does not take 1 hour) but that's what happens when you don't have the right tools to do it yourself :). The Sensor was provided to JAR, so there was no need for diagnostics. Overall, it was a pretty good experience.
