I just wanted to take the time to let everybody know that my experience there was great. Not only did they fix the car in a timely manner. They did a wonderful job. They were able to take care of my Mustang and all its needs prior to my dad passing away, which was one of my request. I asked him if they could get their work done early so he could take one last ride in the Mustang, and they were able to do it, and he was able to take 1 last ride in the Mustang before his passing. Thank you so much for all the work. I really appreciate it. You guys are simply the best.

This shop does solid work. I brought my 69 muscle car in for a potential 700r4 transmission rebuild or replacement after it overheated and lost overdrive and reverse due to a fluid leak. We wound up going the replacement route. They did a good job with that. The only issue i had was that lockup wasn’t being controlled as to my specifications when i got it back. My engine doesn’t make enough vacuum so a vacuum controlled lockup setup won’t work, as it hunts and shuttles in and out of lockup, which is not good. Anyway, i got it up on ramps and visually diagnosed the wiring issue quickly and replaced the vacuum switch with a toggle switch. All is good now. Thanks to Shannon, and all the guys at the shop who helped, for doing the hard part though….the actual trans swap.

Pretty disappointed. Took my Duster in with a several issues. On the plus side, they did locate the wiring problem and get the engine started and running. They needed to get gauges working to do the initial run-in of the engine and then address some brake line leakage. When I got it home to finish the project, I found multiple issues: Voltmeter still not working and my heat defroster hoses had been disconnected while they worked under the dash and never reconnected; they lost the pull shaft and knob to my light switch; they fixed my brake leak, but brakes are still not fully operational (despite being charged over $2K for the brake work). The car interior was covered in dust, with no effort to even wipe it down. At the price I paid, I expected top notch work, but was disappointed.

My husband Luis and I can’t say enough good things about Jerry Dixon’s! They’ve done tons of work on his classic cars and trucks (from basic repairs all the way to engine rebuilds) and have squeezed our daily drivers from America to European made vehicles for some standard maintenance. The quality of work is excellent, service is always wonderful and it’s really the only shop in the Austin area that we trust, hands down!
