Jiffy Lube

After an oil change at Jiffy Lube (927 Middle Country Rd., St. James) on 01/13/2026, my 2020 Hyundai Palisade started leaking oil immediately. I came back four times, and staff tried to fix it, but the leak continued. I finally went to another Jiffy Lube location (Selden), where they diagnosed the issue as a leaking oil filter housing and repaired it on 02/09/2026. The repair cost me $561.42. I’m posting this to warn others and I’m requesting reimbursement. Very disappointed.

Jay at Jiffy Lube St. James was outstanding in providing a diagnosis of all the service issues with my vehicle. His customer service was delivered with empathy for the customer (me), which gave the impression that he treated each customer vehicle as if it were his own. These soft skills are the essential components that will allow your company to navigate a new age / AI augmented economy.

Got my oil topped off. Terrance was the best! Give this man a promotion. So nice and professional. They are always honest and fair at Jiffy Lube! Will for sure go back to this location next time.

Stopped by Jiffy Lube in St. James on New Year’s Eve when the place was clearly busy, and I was still impressed. Tyrone, Terrance, and Yi were professional, efficient, and kept everything moving without rushing or cutting corners. There were four cars ahead of me, yet they got everyone in and out smoothly. No attitude, no chaos — just a solid, well-run team doing their job right on a hectic day when most people would’ve been checked out. This is how service should be. This is why I’m a happy satisfied return customer.
