Title: Do Not Trust King of Prius – Avoid at All Costs I recently had the unfortunate experience of purchasing a 2008 Toyota Prius from King of Prius, specifically from a salesman named Sam. I initially trusted their positive reviews on Google and regret not doing more thorough research. Let me start by saying this: if you value your hard-earned money and your peace of mind, avoid this company like the plague. First and foremost, the catalytic converter in the car is not California compliant, nor is the extension. Essentially, the vehicle is illegal to drive. This is not only dishonest but also highly illegal and dangerous. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS BUSINESS! I should have wrote this review a long time ago. Within months of purchasing a vehicle from King of Prius I had many issues. The most important is he sold the car to me even though the catalytic converter was stolen. He put together a make-shift catalytic converter which is illegal. Does not pass smog test with it. I had to get a new one which cost me $4,000 (close to the cars worth). The mechanic and the person who did my smog test both told me I should bring this guy to court. I would have done, so but I can’t afford a lawyer. I did read another review for King of Prius where someone actually is bringing him to court over this exact same issue. I was on the market for a used car back in Feb and ended up buying a Buick from these guys. When I initially saw it online (after 2 months of going to see cars from other dealerships/by owner, that didn't look like pictures, or were in terrible condition), I was able to get an appointment to look at the car same day. They were easy to work with and car looked exactly like pictures and test drove well (despite squeaky brakes which they offered to fix if bought) but I was worried after past bad experiences that there would be something wrong with the car despite it being a seemingly good deal. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time/money doing business with this King of Prius. They knowingly sell vehicles that have very little life in them, after that 30 days, you will defnitely have something go wrong with the vehicle. It's plenty of honest dealerships around

HONEST and FAIR is not something you necessarily associate with a used car dealer. But rest assured, you can with this one. If you want an honest and knowledgeable person from whom to buy a Prius, Sam is your man. I'm extremely pleased to have my purchase of 2009 Prius from him.
