La Mesa | RecVan – Sanford RV & Motorhome Sales

When I started the process of trading in and updating our RV I had the usual apprehension that comes along with this task. Don't overpay and don't get taken is what I kept telling myself. Because a motorhome is such a high-ticket item, you have to broaden your search area to make sure you get what you want and pay what you think is a fair price. I was in the market for a new or barely used Diesel Class A or Super C, and I was trading in a 2022 Jayco Seneca Super C. I started locally and then expanded to get numbers from known nationwide dealers like NIRVC, MHS, Blue Sky, General, and La Mesa. The best numbers I got were from La Mesa, and they had no hidden or inflated fees like some of the others. I felt extremely comfortable with my saleswoman, Diana, and felt as if she was always brutall

La Mesa RV presents itself as a high-quality, customer-focused dealership, but my experience was the complete opposite. The travel trailer I purchased from them started literally falling apart barely a year after purchase, which is completely unacceptable for something they marketed as well-built and reliable. Even worse were the warranties they confidently promised would “take care of everything.” Those warranties turned out to be absolutely useless when problems actually arose. Once the sale was done, La Mesa RV took zero accountability for the issues and showed no genuine interest in resolving anything. Calls went nowhere, concerns were brushed off, and responsibility was constantly deflected. What I was sold was an illusion of quality and care. What I received was a poorly built traile

My wife and I met our sales person (Tony Viviani) at an RV show. We had a travel trailer, and explained to him that we are mostly road tripping and plan to purchase a motorhome. We had never even stepped inside a motorhome before. Tony showed us about a half-dozen different units and explained to us the differences between them (and a travel trailer). He never puched us to make a decision. I took a picture of his business card with no thought that I would see him again. Fast forward, after a couple of bad experiences with the larger chain dealers, I researched dealers in Florida. La Mesa had many good reviews. Then I saw that they had the make and model of the unit we wanted; it was two-years old with only 4,200 miles. I instantly called Tony and he gave us a good deal on the unit

1-Star Review – La Mesa RV (Insurance & Post-Sale Experience) I am extremely disappointed with my experience with La Mesa RV, especially regarding the insurance services sold to us when we purchased our first motorhome. When we bought our RV, Dina assured us that we were being properly advised and well taken care of. Unfortunately, that was far from the truth. The coverage and support we were promised did not match reality. In December 2025, we had to complete a service that should have been covered, yet to this day we have not received reimbursement. Even worse, we were forced to hire an outside company because the insurance provider could not assist us at the time. We paid out of pocket and are still waiting. Good place to shop for an RV and they have a great selection. Everyone there was professional and friendly. Thanks to my salesman Greg I love my new camper. Highly recommend!
