They are taking very good care of my daughter while she is there

This is a true family living environment. Care staff is exceptional. Home cooking. Lots of quality activities. Residents follow established routines limiting down time. Staff is attentive to each resident from administration to housekeeping... no resident is ever ignored. Therapy department continues to philosophy incorporating mind and body into the rich faith and spirit of the "one of a kind" home for the bayou area's aging population.

The administration staff are nice people, however they lack the skills and desire to hold the caregivers, nurses, and aids accountable for doing their jobs. The residents are not cared for and are often neglected. They employ nurses and aids that have acquired many complaints, unfortunately the leadership choose to sweep the known issues under a rug and the elderly suffer. My mother was a resident there on February , 28 2017 ... Mardi Gras Day. That night, a nurse called me and said "you should come to stay with your mother because we are understaffed and we cannot tend to her". The next morning, I admitted my mother to the hospital and she did not live to be discharged from the hospital. My mother died on March 5th, 2017 ... one day after her 86th birthday.
