Lake Forest Advantage Smog Test

Empty bay meant that I got in quickly for a $70 smog check. The mechanic seemed knowledgeable. Easy in and out process. Failed for Evap problem and he explained it well. I will have to find a mechanic and return for another $50 expense or just find another shop I guess. Just drove 500 miles before this failed smog test. O well, thanks CA for Smog EPA regulations. I’m into registration and smog now for $300

If you come here with the online coupon, present it first to the mechanic before giving your keys. I tried to show it at point of invoice and he refused to apply discount. Pretty messed up since you could easily adjust the invoice. Gave 2-stars because at least it was quick.

I have been going there for years with all of my cars and was always very happy. I would go on line, get the latest coupon and everyone was happy. Today I went with my coupon and was told it's expired. I asked for them to show me the expiration date and they couldn't. I attempted to show them the coupon was on their website, not a 3rd party website. They wouldn't honor the coupon and the only responses I received were grunts and glares. I will not be returning

The staff didn’t look throughly for the serial number stamped on my car’s catalytic converter and marked the converter as tampered resulting a fail smog test. After taking my car to the garage and found the serial number indicating an approved converter I went back to the smog test station and showed all my proof to the staff but he refused to change the results from fail to pass. I have to go through the tedious referee process and I got the pass inspection results after several weeks of unnecessary dispute process.

I have never had a pleasant experience with the owner operator of this smog station it is always an excuse on their end and that will be 100$ because your coupon isn't accepted here. 2nd attempt at trying this business will also be my last.
