I can't speak highly enough of Scott, his knowledge of my vehicle and his business ethics. He has been servicing my TDI since I moved here a few years ago. He is always honest and fair, even directing me to the dealer for work that would be covered under warranty. He is a top-notch mechanic, and a great guy.

Incredible customer service! My family and I were in Pismo from out of town on an RV trip when our tow vehicle’s coolant pump went out. Called early on Monday morning and he got me in right away. He got us back on the road and in tip top shape less than 48 hours later. The work was done to VW service standards at a fair price. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Thanks again!

If you have a VW you should 100% take your car to Scott. He is very good at what he does, never talks down to you, is time efficient and is just an overall good guy. Can’t recommend enough

Lighty's is so Awesome!! Scott took great care of my Jetta, replaced the brakes and changed the oil with full service. As a woman, I have always had trouble finding mechanics who don't speak down to me or outright dismiss me, Scott actually talked to me like a real person, explaining everything without being obnoxious and made me feel welcome and respected. His service was very fast, prices were reasonable, and overall, it was an awesome experience and I will definitely be going back for my future mechanical issues.

Great place. Scott is very knowledgeable and I felt comfortable talking about the issues my car was having, letting him know my concerns and trusting that he would get everything done right. He always called before any repairs were started to make sure that I understood what was going to be happening and what the price was ahead of time. He is involved with every repair and as such there is no confusion when discussing repairs, unlike at a dealership or other shop where the people at the counter have likely never seen your car before. I picked up my GTI this morning after a timing overhaul (done in less than a week), fixing a worn chain causing a high pressure fuel code. He found a previous shop had advanced the timing on one of the cam gears by a tooth and left very obvious bolt unscrew
