Simply the best. Flat out the most honest and trustworthy mechanics anywhere in the north shore of Chicago. From our family's old Honda element and Hyundai Tucson, to my old Kia soul and now my jeep Grand Cherokee. As mentioned in other reviews, they really do treat you like family and with the relationship we've built up with them over the years, we'll never take our cars anywhere else, there's just no reason to. Sometimes it's hard to get an appointment that isn't a week or more out but for good reason, they're busy and the best at what they do. I'm sure they were glad to see my driven-into-the-ground Kia replaced by my Jeep! Extremely fair prices and the most competent, experienced, honest and professional crew. Go to Lou's. Period.

Lou’s Garage was kind and helpful when I brought in my xc90 for for some issues I was having with the suspension. The price was reasonable and in line with other estimates I received. The work was done when they said it would be finished and i am grateful I found this place.

You can not find a better or more trustworthy mechanic. They treat you like family, give you honest advice, and are a tremendous value. We actually enjoy our visits. They have our full trust, have never let us down, and are just good people. We refer everyone here, whenever we get the opportunity. Don't think twice, just go with them. Only note -- they are busy, and for good reason - so be sure to plan ahead.

It took me 15 years to find these guys. I know though to know when I'm being played. These guys are honest and if something ends up being less expensive they don't overcharge you. If you see antique and classic cars bring worked on it's a sign they are a good shop.
