Luther Mazda of Kansas City Service

I have bought 5 cars from this location. We had a safety issue with the blind spot monitoring system documented with multiple videos. Not only did they say the system was working without issue despite the videos, they told me to just turn the system off...all while racing their voice. I would not bring my car here for service or ever buy a car from them again. The previous service folks were much more receptive and serviced our multiple cars well.

Service has always been great throughout the several different ownership groups this location has had. I’ve been taking my Mazdas here since 2014. I wish i could review the sales department separately, i tried to purchase my 3rd Mazda from this location but couldn’t get anything going with salesman Zachary, he kept leading me on about getting a dealer trade for the exact spec i wanted, waited over a month. Eventually i went to NorthTowne Mazda and they were able to locate and acquire a dealer trade within 2 days! I’ll be purchasing my next Mazda from NorthTowne.

Made an appointment and dropped the car off the night before. Called at 2:00pm and got routed to a call center who said they would send a message to the service desk. Called again at 4:00pm and got the same run around. Went to dealership at 4:45pm and they had not started on the car. The morning shift had not checked the key-drop box. To be fair, the afternoon shift did offer a loan car but we took our car and will now take our business somewhere else.

SCAM ALERT ... took my car in for an oil change, everything else was working fine. A couple days later my car starts cutting out at highe speeds, 45 +, check engine light, front camera and automatic break system failure lights come on. Had to have the car towed in, as it wouldn't go over 20 miles per hour without cutting out and all the warning lights come on. Mind you my car is a 2022, when I got it there they said it was the battery, made me wonder since the oldest it could be is three years old or newer since I bought it certified used from a different Mazda dealer, not sure of the history on battery. Being in a hurry to get back to work, as I don't get paid if I dont work, I said do what you need to do. Finished everything is fine, supposedly, get going 45+ again my car cuts out a

I just want to say Kelsey and the entire service team and used car sales were above and beyond. We bought a used car through them, that process was exceptional as well. Our car had some dripping below the oild pan area, and we came in before our 30 day used car warranty was up and they were able to get us in immediately and, in fact, helped us get it across the street to the Ford Dealer since our issue was still under powertrain warranty. They didn't have to do that and just handled it. On top of that, they got us an amazing loaner, right befor our family vacation road trip and saved the day. All in all, I would highly reccomend Kelsey and the team at Luther Mazda Service and Used Car Sales.
