Maaco Auto Body Shop & Painting

My paint/body work was performed 18 month ago at this location so I feel it has aged enough to evaluate issues and demonstrate how their work holds up long-term. I was temporarily working in Memphis when my Ford Ranger was involved in a minor rear-end collision. I had already been planning to do overall paint and minor dent repair on the whole vehicle so I spoke to a few shops and selected this Maaco to do the job. The staff I dealt with were all polite and knowledgeable and they had some completed customer cars on their lot which looked great. I brought them my vehicle stripped of all trim-lights-bumpers-etc. and paid them $4,700 for all-over paint and body labor. What, no food review? That’s right — I’m expanding my reviews. Recently, I went to get new tires on my car. During the inspection, we walked around to the passenger side (which I never go on), and sure enough — discovered someone had hit my car at some random point. Mostly tire damage, but the dents were real. After looking around online for a bit, I decided to bring it to Maaco. Walked right in and was greeted by Austin — super nice guy, very detail-oriented, which I appreciate. We went out to look at the damage, then back inside where Austin worked up a repair sheet. He even called the car manufacturer to verify the exact paint color before scheduling a date for the repairs. Solid. Flash forward — I forgot I had a work commitment and couldn’t bring the car in on the scheduled date. C

Jose Sent Two Plus Hours with me reviewing my Vehicle as to what he Recomneds. Very Thorough! 👍 I was Impressed with the Smallest Details he pointed out and Gave me Options as to The Expense involved. Blown Away that he Could Change Colors if I wanted for No Additional Expense. Have 100% Confidence in him and his Company.

First off I guess I should’ve believed the bad reviews. I was really hoping they were wrong, but as you can see from the photos, they did not reinstall the Ford emblem. They also did a subpar job as far as Painting not removing two pieces of trim that are easily removed and easily replaced and the cost to replace them with new parts OEM parts is less than $75,no quality control. Granted I did pick this up on a rainy day and it rained for two days after I picked it up note never pick up your car from a paint shop when it’s raining. Another thing that I would look out for is make sure that you look over your invoice clearly I have no proof as of yet, but I believe there are errors in my invoice. Absolutely phenomenal customer service! Monica was extremely helpful. I was only in the city for one week and she was able to squeeze me in and get my car in. I had a dent in my fender, and I ordered a new bumper to be installed on my vehicle as well, as the old one had peeling paint and a crack running through the bottom of it. The paint job was literally amazing, and the body work was phenomenal, and the quote was cheaper than other places I had looked at. Definitely would recommend. The photos I have attached show after the work was done, and the damage that was there before.
