Marty's Garage

Beware of surprises! I was referred to Marty’s garage after asking around about a good/honest mechanic. It turns out…after leaving there…...they are still hard to come by…and I’m still looking. I don’t doubt the quality of work (Been in business a long time)…but I’ve never in my life heard of a garage performing work that was not OK’d / discussed in advance. Changing air filters and transmission fluid without discussing the added cost and even asking if it was OK is bad business at best and unethical (I noticed a prior review from someone who also mentioned that he went in for something, and they automatically changed filters without discussing it) “Transmission fluid should be changed once per year”- direct quote from this business Unheard of! Went in for a simple inspection ….left

Replacing filters when not requested, other than just replacing the belt is bad business. Especially when I have filters in my garage. Not cool Mr. Marty, I wouldn't have thought you would do that as long as you've been in business. Kind of a cruel trick to pull on a first time customer. That was very disappointing. My suggestion would be to get approval from the money supply so as not to irritate knowledgeable customers making them feel taken advantage of.

Marty has cared for my 1997 Honda Accord for decades. She drives like a dream: great acceleration, tight steering, and responsive accelerator and brakes. She drives better now than when she was new. She and I are delighted with Marty’s honesty, skill and good humor.

Am very satisfied with the expertise of the garage. Marty is a wonderful mechanic and he goes way beyond what has to done and is excellent in his pricing and his work is in the interest of the customer. Recommend this garage to all with Honda problems. Marty has fixed a severe problem with my Element that for two years no other garage has fixed.

What can I say about Marty? He saved my Honda from a life of abusive Mechanics! His prices are fair & his work is prestine! An expert in his field! He only works on Accuras & Hondas! So when I do buy a new car it will be one of those kinds of cars! I'll never own anything else! You ARE A HERO Marty! My car runs like so much better. Thank you!
